Personal Profile

Yang Zixiong, male, born in 1980, from Dacheng Village, Wasè Town, Dali City, Yunnan Province, Bai ethnic group, has been passionate about fine arts since childhood. He graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Fine Arts School at Yunnan Art College, specializing in woodcut prints. His works have been exhibited in the Yunnan Province Touring Exhibition commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. He received two Outstanding Awards in the First and Second "Dreaming of China, Virtue and Art Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Exhibitions, and was honored with the Outstanding Tribute Participant Award in the second exhibition. In the 2018 Belt and Road Calligraphy and Painting Competition, he won the Third Prize. His works are primarily black-and-white woodcuts, through which he perceives a colorful world in monochrome!
