Personal Profile

Zhang Tianyang, a calligrapher from Dali, was born in 1972. He began studying calligraphy at an early age, meticulously copying renowned ancient and modern inscriptions, and traveled extensively across the country to seek out masters. He has studied under Ma Lisheng, Du Yijian, Feng Guoyu, Li Deguang, Zhou XuanSong, and Zhao Changqing. His calligraphy is rooted in the styles of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, later evolving to incorporate the contemporary style of Wang Duo. He has developed his own distinctive style, which has been widely recognized by the calligraphy community.
