Personal Profile

Guo Shuliang, born in 1965 in Hebei, currently resides in Xinjiang. His calligraphy and painting works have won the Bronze Award at the 2nd China Dream Cup Competition, the Silver Award at the 4th Yanhuang Cup Art Competition, the First Prize at the 5th Xizhi Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Invitation Competition, the Outstanding Award at the 1st National Silk Road Cup Competition, the Outstanding Award at the "Entering Shenzhen" Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Masters Exhibition, the Best Style Award at the 2nd National Innovation Calligraphy and Painting Competition for Middle-Aged and Elderly Artists, the Outstanding Award at the China-Australia Twin Cities Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, the Excellent Work Award at the 2018 7th China Folk Calligraphy and Painting Fine Works Competition, and the First Prize at the 2019 Hanmo Fenghua National Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, among others. His works have been selected into publications such as Selected Works of National Poets, Calligraphers and Painters 2015, The 2015 Annual Dictionary of Representative Chinese Calligraphers and Painters, and Selected Works of National Calligraphy and Painting by Middle-Aged and Elderly Artists. His biography has been included in the Concise Dictionary of Chinese and Foreign Calligraphers and Painters. He is currently a member of the Tuoli Calligraphy Association in Xinjiang, a member of the China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, and a Grade-One Calligrapher at the China National Academy of Painting.
