Che Tingxi, pen name Che Fu, male, born in 1954, ancestral home in Shanxi Lüliang, raised in the ancient city of Yulin on the frontier, currently a member of the Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, Xi'an Calligraphers Association, researcher at the Painting and Calligraphy Research Center of the Shaanxi Art Research Institute, member of the Shaanxi Laozi Calligraphy and Dao Studies Association, standing director of the Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Northwest University Institute of Cultural Industry, and specially appointed calligrapher of the Songzhuang International Academy of Painting and Calligraphy in Beijing. Since childhood, influenced by his family environment, he developed a strong interest in calligraphy. In the early 1980s, he had the privilege of receiving guidance from renowned masters such as Zhong Mingshan, Zhao Xiong, and Li Chenghai in a calligraphy study class. He began his training with Tang dynasty regular script, starting with Liu Ti, then progressing to Yan and Ouyang styles; for clerical script, he started with the Cao Quan Stele and drew inspiration from various Han dynasty steles. In recent years, he has also developed a keen interest in small seal script, primarily modeling after the Yishan Stele and San Fen Ji. Over the years, he has found joy in practicing calligraphy and never ceased his daily practice. He further studied through correspondence courses at a calligraphy university. His works have been exhibited and awarded in numerous national, provincial, and municipal exhibitions, and are collected by multiple associations and enthusiasts both domestically and abroad.
