       Yang Zhao, courtesy name Yan Yue, art name Master of Guihua Studio, is from Shanxi Taiyuan, born into a family of painters and calligraphers. His father is a member of the China Calligraphers Association and the first Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Shanxi Provincial Youth Calligraphers and Painters Association. His mother is a member of the China Calligraphers Association and a gold medalist of the Asian Women's Calligraphy Competition. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Modeling Class at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, studying under the renowned Chinese painting masters Tang Yongli and Kou Yuepeng.
       He is currently a member of the Shanxi Artists Association, a council member of the Taiyuan Middle-aged and Young Chinese Painters Association, a specially invited painter of the Shanxi Huanghe Painting Academy, one of the founders of Taiyuan Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Education, the founder of the Taiyuan Guihua Studio Celebrity Painting Brand, the founder of the Duyouxuan Celebrity Painting Brand, a specially invited Chinese painting instructor at the Shanxi Qianqian Junzi National Studies Base, and a specially appointed art advisor at Shanying Art Media.
       His works have been collected by numerous individuals. Among them, "Zhong Kui's Mighty Presence" was selected for the Central Academy of Fine Arts Outstanding Chinese Painting Exhibition and published in the Beijiang Daily; his "Spring Colors of Li River" series has been collected by many entrepreneurs nationwide. He has also been honored with the title "Master of Chinese Painting, China's Excellent Brand." In 2021, he received the title "Most Collectible Artist," as well as awards including the Outstanding Painter Award, Outstanding Mentor Award, and Outstanding Teaching Base Award at the First Shanxi Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition. Many of his students have won gold medals at the First Shanxi Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition.
