Personal Profile
Wang Jianping, courtesy name Shuping, Shuming, studio name Xiawei Pavilion, Han Chinese, born in Pingyao in January 1963, CPC member, renowned collector and renowned landscape painter.
Having devoted decades to the in-depth study of Chinese landscape painting, his style is simple, authentic, and full of vitality, with brushwork that is rugged and substantial, and an elegant, classical aesthetic. His works draw inspiration from tradition without being bound by it, consistently generating fresh and original expressions, and are widely beloved by the general public. He has been selected for numerous national and provincial exhibitions and has received awards, including inclusion in the 14th, 15th, and 16th Shanxi Provincial Art Exhibitions, the 5th National Landscape Painting Exhibition, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shanxi Provincial Landscape Painting Exhibitions.
