 Yan Mingxuan, whose original name is Xiao Bing, was born in 1972 and is the master of Guiren Zhai. He studied under the renowned calligrapher and seal carver Mr. Zhao Xiong.
He is currently the Vice President of the Chinese Folk Culture Research Institute.
Beijing Ink Years Calligraphy and Painting Academy Seal Carving Mentor.
Vice President of Beijing Contemporary Hanmo Cultural Art Academy.

Since his youth, Mingxuan has been deeply passionate about calligraphy and seal carving, often unable to sleep at night if he had not carved a single stone. His diligent study and relentless practice, tempered by years of dedication, have reached new heights after participating in the advanced training program of Xiling Seal Engravers' Society. His seal carving has now achieved a unique artistry—meticulous composition, ancient vigor and depth, with tightness emerging from spaciousness, serenity and elegance, exuding profound charm. Simultaneously, through ceaseless practice, his calligraphy has also made remarkable progress, and his works have won numerous awards in national calligraphy exhibitions. Mingxuan firmly believes that in both calligraphy and seal carving, one must diligently study, tirelessly practice, respect tradition while innovating. Under the guidance of distinguished masters, he has ultimately developed his own distinctive style. The path of art is arduous and long; only through continuous advancement and constant refinement can one attain true accomplishment. He also hopes to meet like-minded individuals along the way—to understand and cherish each other, and grow together!
