Yu Fukang, pen name Fu Kang, also known as Yan Shan Han Song, is currently a member of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a council member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Art Association under the Ministry of Culture, a member of the Central State Organs Calligraphers Association, Beijing University Visiting Scholar, Executive President of the Hangzhou West Lake Institute of Fine Arts, a National First-Class Artist, and a contracted artist for the "Ink and Wash Danqing" and "Master Lecture" programs of China Education Television. In his early years, Yu Fukang studied at the China Academy of Art, receiving guidance from renowned painters and professors such as Deng Bai, Zhu Heng, Kong Zhongqi, Wu Shanming, and Gu Shengyue, achieving a significant breakthrough in his art. He later attended the Calligraphy Master Class at Peking University’s School of Arts, where he received meticulous instruction from teachers such as Su Shishu and Wang Yuechuan, further elevating and evolving his calligraphic style. His works skillfully integrate northern and southern artistic traditions, forming his unique style that combines strength with grace and majesty with elegance. He has been featured in multiple art interviews on China Central Television and has personally published four books.
