Personal Profile
Cheng Wei, also known as Huaihe Sanren, with the art name Luweitang and studio name Guoyunlou, was born in Funan, Anhui, holds a college diploma, and currently resides in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. He specializes in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. Since childhood, he studied calligraphy under Cheng Ruocong (nicknamed Cheng Gazi). Recently, he furthered his studies in the Chinese Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His works have been exhibited and awarded in numerous national exhibitions and are collected by multiple art museums and collectors both domestically and overseas. He currently serves as the Executive Deputy Director of Qieyuan Art Museum, Director of Cheng Wei Studio at Huai Shang Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Special Correspondent Painter for “Art Newspaper,” and Visiting Scholar at Anhui University as well as a professional calligrapher-painter.
