Zhang Yu, styled Zimo, female, Han ethnicity, born in 1980 in Ruian City, Zhejiang Province. Graduated from Shanghai Anting Normal School in 1999, and from Southwest University of Science and Technology in 2009.
Currently a member of the China Academy of Fine Arts (Gongbi Painting Society), member of the Zhejiang Provincial Artists Association, and council member of the Ruian Artists Association. Awards: In 2014, Chinese painting "Hanyi" won the Outstanding Award (highest prize) at the "Wannian Pujiang" National Chinese Painting Exhibition, hosted by the China Artists Association. In 2014, Chinese painting "Qiulian" was selected for the Hanmo Qilu • First National Flower-and-Bird Painting Exhibition, hosted by the China Artists Association. In 2014, Chinese painting "Yiqing Meng Nan Zhui" was selected for the 8th National Chinese Painting Exhibition of the Ethnic Hundred Flowers Award, hosted by the China Artists Association. In 2014, Chinese painting "Xianqing Zui Jiao Yi" was selected for the Refined Position • 2nd National Modern Gongbi Painting Exhibition, hosted by the China Artists Association. In 2013, Chinese painting "Jiayuan" was selected for the "Frontline" Zhejiang Provincial Grassroots Artists Sketching Exhibition, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Artists Association. In 2012, Chinese painting "Mother and Child" was selected for the 2012 "Caimo Yunjiang" Ruian Art Exhibition, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Artists Association. In 2004, Chinese painting "Yiyun" won the Excellence Award at the 6th Zhejiang Provincial Flower-and-Bird Painting Exhibition, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Artists Association.
