Zhang Zhongwei, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1963, from Zhejiang, national gift calligrapher, graduated from the Chinese Calligraphy Academy with a bachelor's degree,renowned calligraphy critic, currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Central Literature and Art Publishing House, Vice Chairman of the International Brand Cultural Industry Federation, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the China National Fine Arts Association, Executive Vice President of the China Guoxue Publishing House, Deputy Secretary-General of the World Chinese Celebrities Association, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Ethnic Artists Association, Vice President of the China Literary and Art Association, Honorary Vice Chairman of the China Patriotic Education Association, Lifetime Honorary President of the Chinese Ethnic Literary and Artists Federation, Honorary President of the China Industry News Figures Network, Honorary President of the China August 1st Heroes Network, Juror of the National Painting and Calligraphy Art Title Evaluation Committee, and National Supervisor for Party Conduct and Clean Government. Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd Chinese Calligraphy “Lanting Cup”; in 2000, participated in the National Exhibition of Calligraphy, Painting, and Photography Art for the Return of Macao and received the Honorary Gold Award, conferred the honorary title of “Artist of Virtue and Art Across the Straits”. In autumn 2005, participated in the 5th Contemporary Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Culture Art Service Center and other organizations, awarded the honorary title of “Outstanding People's Artist”. In November 2009, won the gold prize in the First National Master Achievement Award of Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting held by the China Lanting Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, simultaneously conferred the title of “Master of Chinese Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting”. In 2009, awarded the honorary title of National Model Worker, and the Ministry of Culture Art Service Center conferred the title of &ldquo>Pillar of the Republic”. Awarded the title of “Leading Figure of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting in 2011”; in the artistic creation event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution in 2011, his work won first prize in the creation category and was awarded the title of “One of the Hundred Great Chinese Artists of the Xinhai Century”. Honored with the title of National Industry Role Model in 2012. In October 2014, participated in the "Lighting China" National Meritorious Calligraphy and Painting Competition, winning first prize in creation. The same year, his works were included in the collections of "The 20 Most Valuable Investment Artists in China" and "National Cultural Heritage Figures". In 2015, participated in the 6th Yizhi Cup National Calligraphy and Painting Grand Prix, where his work was awarded second prize.
