Jin Jiatan, styled Jia, studio name: Mosheng Studio, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1952 in Zhejiang Wenzhou. Currently a member of the China Famous Calligraphers and Painters Association, awarded the “Most Outstanding Artistic Performance Award” in the “National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition” of the Cultural Elite Cup, with a special honorary certificate issued; Vice Chairman of the China Niuren Calligraphy and Painting Association; President of Shengyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy; Professional painter at Feilong International Fitness Center Gallery; Director of the Chinese Painting Department at Linquan Calligraphy and Painting Academy; specially appointed technical consultant of Wenzhou Dong’ou Calligraphy and Painting Academy; member of Wenzhou Retired Cadres Calligraphy and Painting Association; member of Cangnan County Art Workers Association. Passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, later personally instructed by the master of Chinese studies, Mr. Su Yuanlei, and recommended to study figure painting intensively under the Hai School master of Chinese painting, Mr. Cheng Shifa.
In 1973, employed as a professional painter at Wenzhou Jinxiang Arts and Crafts Egg Painting Factory.
In 1976, transferred to Ruian Arts and Crafts Bamboo Curtain Factory as a senior painter.
In 2007, selected in Beijing and appointed as a senior calligrapher and painter at Beijing Zhongda Huawen International Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
In 2009, published a personal album featuring pyrography, landscape, and figure paintings by the People’s Calligraphy and Painting Academy and People’s Art Publishing House in Shanghai. For many years, specialized in pyrography in Songjiang, widely appreciated and collected by enterprises and institutions.
