Xi Zhezhen, Style Name: Runsong, Art Name: Zhezhen, Studio Name: Jinshi Studio. Currently residing in Xi'an, National First-Class Artist, serving as Vice President of Shaanxi Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, and Director of the Dunhuang Branch of Shaanxi Academy of Painting and Calligraphy. The Dunhuang Branch of Shaanxi Academy of Painting and Calligraphy was established on May 18, 2016. Gansu native, ancestral home in Hanzhong, Shaanxi, born in Dunhuang City, Gansu Province in 1973. Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Northwest University in Gansu in 1995, studied under renowned masters Zhang Zhiyan, Li Lejian, Li Jianjun, specializing in traditional Chinese landscape painting. Dunhuang, formerly known as Shazhou, is located at the westernmost end of the Hexi Corridor, amidst the vast Gobi Desert of western Gansu. During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Dunhuang entered its golden age with the opening of the Silk Road, becoming a vital transportation bridge between the Central Plains and the Western Regions, as well as Central and Western Asia!
