Zhao Xingye, styled Kezhuang, art name Xiaopu, also known as Qingliuju, was born in 1952 in Xi'an, the ancient capital of thirteen dynastiesShaanxi. A renowned Chinese realist painter and calligrapher with outstanding contributions. He studied traditional Chinese painting under masters Zhang Yongmao, Fang Jizhong, Liu Wenxi, and others; he studied calligraphy under masters Cheng Ke Gang, Liu Zidu, Zhong Mingshan, and others. His works have been published in various professional journals, featured on CCTV's Painting and Calligraphy Channel, exhibited multiple times domestically and internationally, and collected by relevant departments, foreign heads of state, and officials from multiple countries.
Currently serving as: Vice President of the China National Painting Academy, Council Member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Council Member of the China Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, Vice President of the Lishan Painting Academy of Shaanxi Province, Honorary President of the Lishan Seal Art Society of Shaanxi Province, Vice Chairman of the Lintong Calligraphers Association, recommended by CNTV as one of "China's Good Brands" for Zhao Xingye's shrimp paintings—among the most collectible artists, featured on CCTV's Painting and Calligraphy Channel, one of the most influential painters and calligraphers, honored as an artist with outstanding contributions to Shaanxi under "The New Era. The Chinese Dream," and designated as an excellent painting and calligraphy instructor by the Ministry of Education.
On September 16, 2001, he received Singapore's President S.R. Nathan, and his work was collected as a state gift.
On April 6, 2004, he received Colombia’s President Andrés Pastrana, who collected Mr. Zhao’s artwork.
In May 2014, Fan Di’an, Chairman of the China Artists Association, collected Mr. Zhao’s artwork.
In May 2014, Zhao Changqing, Secretary of the China Calligraphers Association, collected Mr. Zhao’s artwork.
In 2019, he was awarded the title “Outstanding Contribution Artist.”
