Lei Wu

Wu Lei, male, member of the Communist Party of China, pen name Fan Song, also known as Master of Yanmo Studio and Master of Huaniao Pavilion. Born in 1990 in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature. Since childhood, he has been deeply passionate about calligraphy, receiving early inspiration from his grandfather and guidance from several renowned masters such as Ye Nong. He specializes in studying small seal script, and his works are characterized by elegance, tradition, and antiquity, with a distinctive personal style, particularly excelling in small seal script.

Holds national Level II certification as a badminton referee, national Level II certification as a football referee, national Level III certification as a basketball referee, and national Level III certification as a social sports instructor in badminton.

In recent years, he has persistently practiced calligraphy, studied ancient calligraphic models from various schools, explored the paths of traditional and modern calligraphy art, cultivated insights through practice, and established his own "Bai Xiang Book House." His primary focus in copying classical scripts includes the small seal style of Deng Shiru (also known as Wanbaishanren), as well as the Cao Quan Stele and Wang Xizhi's Lanting Xu. He has broad interests spanning calligraphy, literary creation, opera, and oratory arts. His calligraphic and literary works, along with news briefs, have been published in over a hundred pieces across provincial, municipal, and district-level media outlets including "Contemporary Youth" magazine, the Gaoling Government Portal, "Bo'ai" magazine, Gaoling Organs' Party Building Journal, and "Jingwei Fengcai" newspaper. In 2017, his calligraphy work was selected by China Post and China Telecom for inclusion in the limited-edition commemorative stamp collection titled "Stay True to Our Original Aspiration and Continue Moving Forward" marking the successful convening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; in 2021, another piece was featured in the special commemorative stamp series celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China. Several of his works have been collected by numerous literary friends, enthusiasts, both within and beyond Shaanxi Province, and he has won more than one hundred awards at provincial, municipal, and district levels in competitions related to calligraphy, poetry and couplets, public speaking, and essay contests.
