Zhang Dongjin, also known as Xiao Lou Jushi and Jingxinzhai Master, male, Han ethnicity. Born in 1952 in Dali, Shaanxi. Graduated from the Advanced Research Class of the China Artists Association Training Center. Currently a member of the Ink and Wash Painting Academy of the "Ink and Wash Danqing" Column Group, China Education Television; member of the China National Painters Association; council member of the Shaanxi Provincial Landscape Painting Research Association.
Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting, calligraphy, and seal carving, diligently studying the works of renowned masters, laying a solid foundation for his artistic endeavors. He has worked in the fields of education, culture, and commercial advertising for over thirty years, accumulating abundant materials and experience. His primary professional focus has been oil painting and gouache, integrating traditional painting and calligraphy into flat media advertising. He has received commendation from the Ministry of Culture of the Central Government and has been featured in multiple media outlets including Shaanxi Radio and various newspapers.
In the past decade, he has devoted himself to the study of Chinese ink painting, particularly excelling in freehand brushwork landscapes. His works have been selected for numerous national and provincial-level exhibitions, including winning the Third Prize in the National Painting and Calligraphy Competition for "Green Mountains Never Age, Clear Waters Flow Forever," and receiving an Excellent Award at the Shaanxi Provincial Art Exhibition for "Timeless Splendor of Rivers and Mountains." Additionally, several of his works have been published in journals such as China书画报 (China Painting and Calligraphy Newspaper), Hanmo Yuan, and Huaxia Fine Arts Newspaper. Some of his works are collected by enthusiasts in Taipei, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, and other overseas regions.
