Deng Abing

Deng Abing, styled Achangda, male, born in 1974, Han ethnicity, ancestral home Shaanxi Xianyang. Bachelor’s degree graduate. Master of Jubaozhai Studio. Since childhood, influenced by his family, he has been passionate about calligraphy; at the age of five, he frequently accompanied his grandfather to visit the Xi'an Beilin Museum and other sites to copy stele inscriptions and rubbings. Later, he practiced under his father’s guidance, studying ancient masterpieces of numerous renowned calligraphers. Through diligent study and relentless practice, and guided by distinguished masters during his youth, he excels in regular script, clerical script, seal script, and running script. His strokes are robust and natural, with compositions rich in vitality and spontaneity. He is especially skilled in clerical and running scripts, producing works full of unique charm, arising organically—his brushwork flows like a flying goose playing over the sea, or a sinuous dragon gliding through clouds, possessing an innate, extraordinary elegance and forming his own distinctive style.
