Since childhood, I have been passionately devoted to the art of Chinese calligraphy and painting, utterly enchanted. Due to my family’s poverty and financial hardship, I used the ground as paper and soil as ink, diligently practicing day and night without ceasing, deeply studying the masterpieces of ancient and modern masters to enrich my artistic energy. My regular script follows Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan; my running script admires Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi, Wen Zhengming, Zhu Yunming, and Wang Duo; my cursive script is rooted in Zhang Xu, Huai Su, and Mao Zedong, as well as great calligraphers like Wang Xizhi and Lin Sanzhi. A sword’s edge comes from grinding; plum blossoms fragrance emerges from bitter cold. Without enduring piercing cold, how could one know the plum blossom’s sweet scent? Nothing in the world is difficult if one is determined to climb; those with ambition will ultimately succeed, and heaven never betrays those who strive heartily. In 2010, I won the Second Prize in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC; in 2014, I received the Bronze Medal in the 2nd China Dream Cup and the 14th Lushan Cup; in 2015, I won the Silver Medal in the 15th National Lushan Cup Memorial Exhibition for the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the Silver Medal in the China Lushan, West Sea China Dream Cup National Excellent Calligraphy and Painting Competition; in 2016, I won the Gold Medal in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition jointly hosted by China Post and China Information Association commemorating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC, and was honored with the title of "Outstanding Artist of the Times Pioneer"; my works were listed among the Global Top 100 Calligraphy and Painting Artists and awarded the title of "Chinese Brand Calligrapher"; Silver Medal in the World Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association’s Global Chinese Artist Competition "The Unsetting Sun" in Memory of the Great Leader Chairman Mao; Fourth China Lushan "China Dream" Cup Gold Medal; 16th Lushan Cup Gold Medal in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition Commemorating the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC and the 80th Anniversary of the Long March Victory; First "Homage to the Great Leader: The Immortal Monument" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s Death—Gold Medal, and awarded the title of "Red Artist." In August 2017, I won the Silver Medal in the National First "Guoli Cup" Calligraphy and Painting Competition Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the CPC; on August 1, I was invited by China Education Television’s Ink and Wash Danqing Calligraphy and Painting Academy to participate in the grand poetry, calligraphy, and painting art gala and exhibition titled "Purple Petals Overflowing with Affection," commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return; my calligraphy work was included in the authoritative collection "The Rise of a Great Nation"; also featured in the Silk Road Promotion Album "Deep Chinese Sentiment" of the Belt and Road Summit Forum; awarded by the National Celebrity Calligraphy and Painting Federation the titles of "Most Collectible Calligraphy and Painting Master of 2017," "Powerhouse Calligraphy and Painting Master of China," and "People’s Artist of Chinese Pride." In March 2018, China People’s Artist Network selected and awarded me the title of "Exemplary Artist for the 40th Anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-up"; in December of the same year, after review by the Editorial Board of the "Annual of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art," my work was officially published in the large-scale anthology "Annual of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art"; in 2019, I was selected by the China Culture Enters Ten Thousand Homes Expert Group to be featured in the report "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC: Exhibition of Renowned Artists’ Calligraphy and Painting Works," and simultaneously awarded the honorary title of "Renowned Artist Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC"; on January 9, 2018, I was invited by the China Calligraphy and Painting World Association to participate in the Sino-Turkish Cultural Exchange Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and won the Silver Medal; I received the Grand Prize at the China-Greece Cultural Exchange Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition held in Greece and Sweden. For making significant contributions to cultural exchange between the two countries, I was appointed by the China Calligraphy and Painting World Association as Specialized Calligrapher Resident in Turkey and Specialized Calligrapher Resident in Greece; in January 2018, the China International Postal Publishing Center, celebrating the successful convening of the 19th National Congress, selected my work as part of its limited-edition commemorative stamp collection of contemporary art masters, and my artwork was issued nationwide on postage stamps, telephone cards, postcards, and greeting cards for the first time ever; on May 24, 2019, after rigorous review by the Art Master Evaluation Committee of China People’s Art Network, I was officially admitted into the "Art Master Database"; in the same year, July, I was specially appointed as Lifetime Honorary Chairman of the Council of the Hongru Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Qufu, Shandong. Yet all this remains far from sufficient—it is but a single drop in the vast ocean, merely the prelude to a ten-thousand-li Long March! The mighty pass is as hard as iron, yet now we stride forward anew! I carry the Party in my heart, the people in my heart, responsibility in my heart, and discipline in my heart. I study the series of important speeches and the Party Constitution, wholeheartedly serving the people, striving to become an artist of the people.
