Personal Profile
Zhu Chaoxuan, male, Han ethnicity, young calligrapher, pen name: Yunmo, born in February 2001, from Fengxi New City, Xixian New Area (Xianyang, Shaanxi Province). Currently a member of the China Youth Calligraphers Association, Shaanxi Provincial Youth Calligraphers Association, Xixian New Area Calligraphers Association, Xianyang City Calligraphers Association, and a member of the China Couplets Society. Under the profound influence of five thousand years of Chinese culture, he has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood. He has studied calligraphy and painting under renowned calligrapher Mr. Cui Hanbai and renowned painter Mr. Hu Yawei, persisting tirelessly for years and earning recognition from several calligraphers. To further enhance his calligraphic skills and artistic realm, he has purchased books online about the experiences and philosophical concepts of master calligraphers, systematically studying calligraphy theory and comprehensively exploring regular script, clerical script, seal script, running script, and cursive script. Building upon careful study and emulation of the outstanding techniques of ancient masters, he continuously innovates and strives for self-transcendence, ultimately developing his own distinctive calligraphic style. His works are sometimes vigorous and powerful, sometimes gentle and rounded, sometimes dynamic and swirling like dragons and phoenixes, and sometimes serene and still as a maiden—highly personalized.
He is deeply devoted to calligraphy and also passionate about public welfare activities. He currently serves as a council member and Director of the Arts Department of the Xianyang University Student Volunteer Federation, a council member of the Shaanxi Patriotic Volunteer Association, a member of the China Patriotic Volunteer Alliance, and a member of the Xixian New Area Poverty Alleviation Public Welfare Charity Association.
