Personal Profile

Wang Lin, male, born in September 1963, native place: Shanghai Songjiang, joined the military in October 1981, transferred to the Songjiang Public Security Bureau in September 2003, currently a member of the Songjiang Calligraphers' Association and the Chinese Calligraphers' Association; started practicing calligraphy at the age of three, initially imitating Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan, later studying the styles of Wang Xizhi, Chu Sui liang, Huang Tingjian, Shu Tong, and Ouyang Xun, especially skilled in regular script; later received guidance from his uncle, the calligrapher Wang Shangde, which helped him make progress in calligraphy. He once won the outstanding award in the national "Sanxi Cup" hard pen calligraphy competition, and won the outstanding award in the Nanjing Military Region film projectionist calligraphy competition. In recent years, he has had multiple works selected for exhibitions in various calligraphy competitions within the public security system and Songjiang District.
