Ye Bingsheng, also known as Ye Tianlin, was born in July of the Year of the Tiger, in 1962 in Shanghai, a family of traditional Chinese medicine doctors. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Fudan University in 1987, with a bachelor's degree in calligraphy. His hobbies include the study of traditional Chinese culture and the research of traditional Chinese medicine. He has taught courses on traditional Chinese culture and calligraphy at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Donghua University, and the Senior Citizens' University of the Municipal Organs of Shanghai. He is a visiting professor at the Chinese Calligraphy Correspondence College. In November 2014, he was included in the "Compendium of Calligraphy by Famous Artists in Ancient and Modern China" of the New Hundred Surnames. At the same time, Ye Bingsheng was selected by the "Calligraphy and Painting Market Newspaper" as one of the Ten Most Potentially Valuable Calligraphers of 2014. Since childhood, he has been diligent in studying the art of calligraphy. His large number of calligraphy and painting works are widely loved by the general public. His calligraphy and painting works have been auctioned in many contemporary strong artists' calligraphy and painting auctions in Hong Kong. He currently serves as the Executive President of the Shanghai Tianlin Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
