Barbara Cao, Chinese name: Cao Yi, is an artist who integrates design, Chinese and Western painting arts, calligraphy, photography, art education as well as runway modeling, print modeling, and car modeling. She graduated from Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts in her early years, and later settled in Sydney, Australia.
As an internationally renowned graphic design master, Barbara's design works have covered some well-known large enterprises and institutions both at home and abroad. She has been engaged in (Chinese and Western) fine arts, calligraphy, and photography teaching for many years both domestically and internationally, and served as a teacher of fine arts, calligraphy, and photography and an art education consultant at the Huada Art College in Sydney, Australia. Her fine arts and photography have achieved high artistic accomplishments, especially her fine art works that integrate Chinese and Western culture and painting arts, which are greatly loved by people from all walks of life at home and abroad and are collected. In terms of artistic creation, Barbara has always adhered to a concept, that is, “all kinds of arts, whether it is fine arts, photography, or music, dance, etc., are connected, and art has no borders.” During her time in Australia, Barbara has been committed to promoting the spread of Chinese culture overseas and actively participated in various types of Chinese cultural publicity activities. She once won the title of the first Hanfu Ambassador in Sydney, Australia, was selected as one of the Top 10 Online Stars in Australia in 2019 by the International Modeling Industry Alliance, and received the Annual Outstanding Art Education Contribution Award given by the Australian Education Association.
