Li Chuanyong (Online name: Shanghai Poet) was born in Shanghai in 1957, and graduated from Fudan University. He once served as the chief editor of a newspaper. He has won an international gold award for his poetry, and his songs have been released globally. Many songs have spread throughout China and entered song halls across the country. In 2017, he was awarded by the World Federation of Arts and Culture as "“Poet with the Most Influential in Asia”", his prose poetry "Chinese Farmers" participated in the "2018 China Farmers' Harvest Festival Poetry Competition" hosted by CCTV and won the gold award.
Currently, he is a consultant for the Life and Fashion Channel of Shanghai TV Station, a consultant for the Cultural Creation Center of the Shipbuilding Committee of the Shanghai Senior Scientists Association, an honorary vice president of the Modern Arts (Intangible Heritage) of Shanghai Dashi World, a vice secretary-general of the World Federation of Arts and Culture, and the Executive President of Poetry Communication of China International News Network.
