He Xuesheng Male, born in 1963, from Xiji, Ningxia.
Member of the Ningxia Branch of the China Artists Association.
His paintings are set against the backdrop of the Loess Plateau, depicting the culture, customs, and folkways of Northwest China with which he is intimately familiar. His artistic style is rich, simple, and natural. Through diverse compositional forms and a rich artistic language, he beautifies his hometown—featuring rolling hills, drifting flocks of sheep, dried riverbeds, ancient rammed-earth villages, and above all, the honest and kind-hearted people of the plateau, expressing people's beautiful aspirations for life. 1990 Solo exhibition at the Art Gallery of Xiji County, Ningxia, China;
