Li Yunzhong, pen name Tianjian, was born in 1963 in Donghe District, Baotou City. He is a member of the China Artists Association and the Baotou Municipal Artists Association.

Since childhood, he has been passionate about painting. In 1978, he became a student of the renowned Baotou painter Yao Pingsheng and was his final disciple. Following his master for over twenty years, he deeply absorbed his teachings. Later, through self-study and research into the works of masters such as Wang Xue Tao and Xiao Lang, he developed unique insights into flower-and-bird painting and established his own distinctive style.

His works have been exhibited numerous times nationally and have won multiple awards; some have been collected by individuals from various sectors.

In 1980, he participated in the National Folk Painting Exhibition, where his work "Ri Yue Hong" received an Excellent Award;
In 1981, his work "Green Pines Never Age" was collected by Mr. Shi Jingyi, cultural envoy of Hong Kong;
In 1990, he participated in the exhibition organized by the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the CPPCC for the Asian Games, and his work "Festival Flavors" received an Excellent Award;
In 2013, together with his fellow students from Yao’s studio, he successfully held the Yao Pingsheng Master-Student Painting Exhibition at Baotou Huibao Building and published the "Yao Pingsheng Master-Student Painting Collection";
In 2018, to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, his work "Farmhouse Flavors" was selected for the Baotou Zhongyi Staff and Workers Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition catalog;
In 2018, he participated in the painting and calligraphy exhibition organized by the Municipal Government, Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Science and Technology Committee to commemorate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, and his work "Three Autumns" received an Excellent Award.
