Personal Profile

Chen Tiansheng, Han ethnicity, born in 1957, currently works at Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities,Honorary President of the Xianyu Shu Art Research Center in Tongliao City,Inner Mongolia Elderly Calligrapher and Painter.He has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood, later specializing in Chinese ink painting, blending meticulous and freehand styles, with expertise in figures, flowers and birds, and landscapes. He has also conducted in-depth research in wood carving and pyrography, achieving commendable results in all these areas. His paintings have been exhibited numerous times in domestic and international calligraphy and painting exhibitions; in the 1980s, he won the first prize at the 30th Anniversary Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of Inner Mongolia Normal College for Nationalities (now Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities). In 2009, he participated in the 3rd "Orchid Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Rank Competition and was awarded the second prize, along with the title of "Rank 8 Calligrapher and Painter."
In November 2014, he participated in the inaugural Tongliao Charity Auction Exhibition titled "Blossoming the Chinese Dream · Calligraphy and Painting Entering Every Household," where his exhibited works received widespread acclaim. His works have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, including the Inner Mongolia Daily, Tongliao Daily, Journal of Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities, and the university newspaper. Many of his works have been collected by relevant art institutions and organizations. He is currently a member of the China National Celebrity Calligraphy and Painting Association.
