Personal Profile
Yang Ming, a Hunan craftsman, was born in 1990 into a ceramic art family in Liling, Hunan. Influenced by the family's artistic atmosphere and his maternal grandfather, Li Xiaonian, a master of crafts and fine arts, he has been fond of painting since childhood. He has been carefully trained and instructed by two provincial-level masters of Hunan crafts, Li Zhidan and Li Huangxiang, as well as receiving guidance from several renowned teachers such as Chen Yanglong and Wang Xuming. By deeply studying famous ceramic works, starting from traditional techniques and folk art, and absorbing modern artistic visual methods and expression techniques, he has formed his unique style. He has successively worked on underglaze five-color ceramic art at Jinghuang and Handongfeng Ceramic Art Companies. He is skilled in flower, bird, and feather painting creation. His works are gorgeous yet elegant, fresh and bright, and are both refined and not vulgar. They not only inherit the traditional techniques of Liling underglaze five-color ceramics but also incorporate modern concepts and elements. His works have won numerous awards and are highly appreciated and collected by collectors and art enthusiasts.
