Awards and Honors:
2011: Award-winning work in the 13th Beijing “Fei Jian Cun Xin” Bookplate Exhibition.
2012: Co-organized calligraphy and painting exhibition in Jincheng, Changzhi, Shanxi.
2013: Co-organized the Poetic Couplets and Calligraphy-Painting Exhibition commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s Birth in Yueyang, Hunan.
2014: Participated in the First China-ASEAN Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In October, exhibited at the Forum on the Origins of Eastern Art and Culture.
2015: Exhibited at the Peking People’s Calligraphy and Painting Academy’s Spring Festival Creation Exhibition in Beihai.
2016: In June, invited to participate in the Shanghai World Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition. In September, calligraphy work selected for the exhibition “Five Continents Remembering: Centennial Ode Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s Passing,” and included in “The Complete Collection of Chairman Mao’s Poetic Couplets and Calligraphy-Paintings.”
2017: In January, donated a 43-meter-long long-shu seal script work “One Hundred Fengjin Bamboo Branch Poems” free of charge, collected by the Fengjin Town Government. In October, honored as “World Cup Designated Long-shu Seal Script Charity Artist Shao Lixin” at the 12th Global City Ambassador and Global City Miss (Mister) Selection Competition.
Early 2017: Gold Medal in Long-shu Seal Script at the Astana Expo “Journey of Light.” In November, awarded the “2017 Outstanding Calligraphy and Painting Artist” title at the 4th “Kai Luosi” China Enterprise Innovation and Development Annual Summit.
Specializes in figure and landscape painting; outstanding artistic achievements. Nanning Daily once reported him as the “First Person of Long-shu Seal Script.” Appointed as Artistic Advisor of the China Calligraphy and Painting Society and Guest Professor at the Taipei Palace Museum Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
2018: In September, interviewed on-site by Hong Kong Chinese Magazine and renowned Chinese journalist Teng Fuqiang on the origins of Long-shu Seal Script.
