I am a true lover of calligraphy. I have always been passionate about writing and paid close attention to improving my handwriting during both my studies and professional career. After retirement, in addition to enjoying time with my grandchildren, I independently studied calligraphy by watching video lectures and reading classical poetry and prose. I have practiced numerous renowned calligraphic models, including the "Shengjiao Xu" and "Lantingji" by the Sage of Calligraphy, as well as works by Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing, Chu Suiliang, Zhao Mengfu, and Wen Zhengming's "Caojue Ge" and "Zixu Tie." I practice whenever I have free time, never tiring of it. My purpose is to inherit Chinese culture, cultivate my character, and enrich my life.My works have frequently been exhibited in military and civilian exhibitions and have been widely appreciated. At the "Beijing Military Region Commemorative Exhibition on the 100th Anniversary of Deng Xiaoping’s Birth," I received the Third Prize; my running-cursive script work "Poems by Chairman Mao" was selected for the anthology "Calligraphy and Painting Works Collection of Retired Military Cadres from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei,"
and was exhibited at the Nationalities Cultural Palace in Beijing in December 2016; I participated in the 7th National "Lanting Artist" Selection and was honored with the title of "Lanting Artist" and awarded Second Prize;
In October 2019, at the First Tianjin Hedong District "Motherland in My Heart" Veterans Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, my exhibited work won the Second Prize.
