Personal Profile

Liu Jianguo was born in 1958 in the ancient city of Huanglongfu and is currently employed by the Changchun Public Security Bureau. In his early career, he worked as a cinema artist, newspaper and magazine art editor, and journalist, and has published various editions of children's picture books and professional publications on public security. Since 2000, he has focused on traditional Chinese painting, specializing in horses, landscapes, and figures. He is currently a member of the Horse Painting Art Committee of the Contemporary Horse Painting Art Research Institute; a council member of the Jilin Provincial Guoxue Research Association; a member of the Changchun Artists Association; Director of the Changchun Employee Art Committee; Vice Chairman of the Changchun Chaoyang District Artists Association; Vice Chairman of the Changchun Public Security Calligraphy and Painting Association; and Vice President of the Changchun Shanggu Feng Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He has participated in numerous exhibitions within and outside the province and has received multiple awards.
