Zhao Hongting was born on July 7, 1956, in Jilin City. His courtesy name is "Zile," and his art name is "Houshishanren." He is an Assistant Research Fellow in the Social Sciences series. He formerly served as a member and member of the International Exchange Committee of the Jilin Province Calligraphers Association; a council member of the Jilin Province Gazetteer and Historical Research Association; a council member of the Jilin City Writers Association, Artists Association, Calligraphers Association, and Coupletists Association; and chairman of the Painting and Calligraphy Branch of the Jilin Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, as well as director of the Painting and Calligraphy Academy. He was the author of the biography of Jin Yian in the Jilin City Gazetteer: Biographical Volume. He also served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Painting and Calligraphy Academy of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League. His works have been exhibited in various national and local exhibitions and published in newspapers and journals such as China Painting and Calligraphy Daily, Chinese Poetry, Collection, and Jilin Daily. Media outlets have conducted multiple interviews and reports on him. China Central Television has broadcast his works. Governments in Henan, Heilongjiang, and other regions have invited him to hold exhibitions. The troop of Dong Cunrui has also invited him to hold exhibitions. His works have been collected in anthologies or participated in charity auctions.
He participated in the charity auction event hosted by China Central Television, with all proceeds donated to the Ya'an earthquake-stricken area. This year, he participated in the anti-epidemic charity auction held in Jilin City, with all proceeds donated to the Wuhan disaster area.
