Miao Wenjie
Miao Wenjie, style name Shouzhuo, also known as Yunjie Hall Master, studio name Jianjingju. Born in Tianjin in 1966, he loved music and painting since childhood. He graduated from the North School Landscape Painting Advanced Study Class of the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. He has studied under famous artists such as He Yanzhe, Liu Hao, Xie Yuxi, and Chen Qizhi. He is currently vice president of the China Social Painting Association under the Ministry of Civil Affairs, member of the Chinese Gongbi Heavy Color Association, member of the Tianjin Artists Association, member of the Tianjin Calligraphers Association, and a member of the Political Consultative Conference of Hongqiao District, Tianjin City.
Miao Wenjie has deeply studied Song and Yuan dynasty landscape paintings, learning from ancient masters and traveling to famous mountains and rivers to gain inspiration from nature, thus forming his own understanding of landscape painting. His landscape paintings are delicately colored, with bold and clear brushwork, overall warm and harmonious, and lines strong and powerful. He has a special interest and understanding of traditional culture, especially in-depth research on traditional landscapes. His mind is calm like water, and his aspirations are lofty, with a rigorous and diligent academic attitude. Therefore, his works, whether landscapes, figures, or flowers and birds, are elegant, quiet, and refined, with a clear and ancient style. His works have participated in many domestic and international art exhibitions and have won many awards.
