Zheng Xiangkun (renowned calligrapher), born on January 28, 1963, male, with a university degree, a member of the Communist Party of China. Born in a family of scholars and literati, his grandfather (Zheng Lianjie, style name Zichao, Chinese literature teacher and calligrapher), father (Zheng Ennian, style name Dadao, secretary of the alumni association of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, calligrapher). Under the influence of the family environment, he has been studying calligraphy and painting since childhood, and has successively learned under the guidance of renowned calligraphers (Zhang Jingxuan), landscape painters (Zhao Shusong), and (Sun Kegang). He graduated from the "Oriental Art College" and the "Maolin Calligraphy College".


Over the past four decades, he has achieved certain accomplishments. His works have won multiple awards in national competitions, and are collected by the "Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Museum" as well as many museums, media outlets, and private collectors across the country. His works are deeply loved by people from all walks of life. In 2016, he was invited to participate in the "May Day International Labor Day" labor model award ceremony at the Great Hall of the People.Teacher Zheng's calligraphy integrates the perseverance, boldness, and progressiveness of Confucianism, as well as the quiet detachment, leisure, and tranquil composure of Laozi and Zhuangzi. It often conveys a meaning that does not seek rich variations, but instead eliminates worldly superficialities in the brushwork to pursue an empty and profound flavor.
Teacher Zheng's works are full of scholarly atmosphere, with a refined and elegant essence that is evident at a glance. They are neither hasty nor restless, free from the vulgar atmosphere of the market, and thought-provoking. His landscape paintings follow traditional methods, with inheritance, development, and new ideas, displaying grandeur, elegance, depth, and tranquility.
