Ge Huaiqiang

Personal Profile

Ge Huaiqiang, from Tianjin, born on September 29, 1950. Influenced by his family since childhood, he was a disciple of Teacher Geng Zhongyang, and later studied calligraphy under Mr. Yang Qichang. He graduated from the College of Arts and Crafts, and then stayed to teach at the school. He is a member of the Zhang Daqian Research Association. His works are collected by the National Museum of China and have been given as state gifts to foreign friends. In 1990, he was selected as an academician of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Academy.
