Zhou Dezuan, born in October 1950, is from Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. He has a military career of more than 40 years, and has been trained at the Central Party School, Artillery Command College, and Air Defense Forces Command College. He holds a bachelor's degree. He was the former Director of Military Training and Troop Types Department of the former Jinan Military Region, a senior engineer, a part-time professor at the Military Academy, and a master's thesis advisor in Artillery Operational Command. He has participated in and guided dozens of campaign and tactical exercises and Sino-Russian joint exercises, and has rich practical experience in both the agency and the troops.
Since childhood, he has been deeply interested in calligraphy. Combining his studies and work, he has diligently practiced for decades, copying the works of many masters and drawing on the strengths of various schools, thus continuously improving his calligraphy skills. He has participated in many calligraphy and painting exhibitions organized by the army and local provinces and cities, and has received awards of excellent level or above. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the China Love Calligraphy Research Institute, a lifetime member of the Shandong Provincial Senior Citizens' Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, an executive council member of the Shandong Provincial Famous People Calligraphy and Painting Academy, an executive council member of the Jinan Cultural Relics Protection and Collection Association, a vice president of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and a deputy director of the Jinan Shunyu Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
