Xu Liye

Since childhood, I have been deeply attracted by the profound historical and cultural heritage of my hometown, influenced by its rich cultural atmosphere, and developed a passionate love and obsession with painting and calligraphy. I have a solid foundation in sketching and have conducted years of research in watercolor, gouache, and oil painting, later specializing in traditional Chinese painting. Persisting with unwavering dedication and remaining true to my original aspiration, I have continuously studied and explored the art of painting and calligraphy, diligently cultivating myself in the sea of ink. I am skilled in expressive freehand-style flower and bird paintings with a wide range of subjects, and also proficient in figure painting (particularly adept at depicting carriage and horse processions) and landscapes. Currently serving as Director of the Su Dongpo Cultural and Art Museum, President of the San Su Painting Academy, Council Member of the China Su Shi Research Association, and Member of the Jiangsu Provincial Artists Association.
