Yang Chengjin
Yang Chengjin, from Si Hong, Jiangsu Province, has been passionate about painting since childhood. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphy and Painting Culture Association, Secretary-General of the Hangzhou Branch of Hanbao Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Assistant to the Director of Beijing Qindezhai Calligraphy and Painting Academy. He has been invited multiple times to participate in art exhibitions and has won awards in numerous calligraphy and painting competitions; some of his works have been collected by social figures and relevant art academies. In July 2018, his artwork was selected for the thematic postage stamp “Cultural Inheritors of the New Era.” He has visited many renowned masters and received their guidance and critiques. In August 2019, his work won the Excellence Award in the Hangzhou Industrial System Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. In August 2020, he won the Silver Award in the National “Chinese New Era” Calligraphy and Painting Competition, Fine Arts Category. In September 2020, he won the Silver Award in the 8th National “Chinese Dream Cup” Calligraphy and Painting Competition and was honored with the title “Outstanding Artist of Chinese Dream in Calligraphy and Painting.” In July 2021, he won the Bronze Award in the Fuyang District, Hangzhou, Calligraphy and Painting Competition commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China. He is currently a disciple of the renowned calligrapher and painter Master He Yanhong, dedicating himself to the in-depth study of traditional Chinese painting.
