Hu Yun

Hu Yun, born in 1967 in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, successively studied at the Graduate School of the Chinese National Academy of Arts and Beijing University. Currently serves as: Member of China Artists Association, Member of the Fine Arts Association of Central State Organs, Artist of the Painting Academy of China Democratic League Central Committee, and Director of the Fei Xinwo Art Museum.

Participated in professional exhibitions hosted by organizations such as the Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Artists Association, and China Calligraphers Association: In 1999, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC — Creative Art Exhibition Inspired by Mao Zedong's Poetry" organized by the China Artists Association; In 1999, his color ink painting participated in the "National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Commemorating the 2550th Anniversary of Confucius' Birth" hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2000, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "2000 World Chinese Art Exhibition" co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and China Federation of Literary and Art Circles; In 2001, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "China Youth and Teenagers Calligraphy and Painting Competition" jointly organized by the China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association, and the Communist Youth League Central Committee, winning the Outstanding Award in the youth category; In 2002, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "First National Workers' Art Festival – Beijing Urban Construction Cup National Workers' Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association; In 2006, his color ink painting won the Third Prize at the "Lichang Fourth National Young Chinese Painting Annual Exhibition" hosted by the National Art Museum of China; In 2006, his calligraphy work was exhibited in the "National Calligraphy Exhibition of Pu'er Tea Hometown" hosted by the China Calligraphers Association; In 2011, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "2010 Ethnic Hundred Flowers Award – Fine Arts Exhibition of All Chinese Ethnic Groups" hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2011, it was also exhibited in the "Third Jiangnan Cultural Festival · Deep Affection for Dachi — Commemorating Huang Gongwang Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition" organized by the China Artists Association; In 2011, his work was included in the "2011 Glorious Pudong – National Chinese Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Artists Association, where he received the highest award; In 2011, his piece was exhibited in the "Fourth International Calligraphy and Painting Art Festival of Yongle Palace (Ruicheng), China," co-organized by the China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association, earning the Baijia Award; In 2011, his work participated in the "Second National Xu Beihong Award" Chinese Painting Exhibition; In 2012, his color ink painting was exhibited in the "Painting Wudang" National Chinese Painting Exhibition hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2012, it was also featured in the "2012 National Chinese Painting Exhibition" organized by the same association; In 2012, his work again appeared in the "Fourth International Calligraphy and Painting Art Festival of Yongle Palace (Ruicheng), China" co-hosted by the China Artists Association and China Calligraphers Association; In 2012, his painting was exhibited in the "Third National Gongbi Landscape Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2013, his work was shown in the "Gathering in Yixing" National Gongbi Painting Exhibition organized by the China Artists Association; In 2013, it was included in the "Mo Yun Lingnan – National Chinese Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2013, his work was exhibited in the "Green · Harmony – Fourth National Chinese Painting Exhibition" sponsored by the Chinese Painting Society; In 2013, he received an Excellence Award in the "Third National Xu Beihong Award" Chinese Painting Exhibition; In 2014, his color ink painting won the Silver Award at the Nanjing International Art Exhibition; In 2015, his work was selected for the "Hanmo Qilu – National Chinese Painting Exhibition" hosted by the China Artists Association; In 2015, his piece was included in the "Mingde · HeRong – 2015 Chinese Painting Exhibition" organized by the Chinese Painting Society; In 2016, his artwork was selected again for the "Mingde · HeRong – 2016 Chinese Painting Exhibition" hosted by the Chinese Painting Society, among others. Additionally, he has participated multiple times in professional exhibitions hosted by provincial departments such as Provincial Department of Culture, Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Provincial Artists Association, winning various awards.

Published nationwide distributed art instructional albums including Hu Yun’s “Landscapes,” “Hu Yun Landscape Painting Collection,” and “Collected Works of Hu Yun.” In 2013, his artwork titled “The Great Beauty of Heaven and Earth • Auspicious Clouds Arise from the Profound Mountains” was collected by the Great Hall of the People. His biography has been included in numerous reference books such as “Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers and Painters.” In September 2016, he was selected as the cover figure for the magazine “Shenzhou” published by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
