Jinfen Zhou

Zhou Jinfen, styled Bingjie, and known as the owner of Qinghetang Studio, was born in 1972 in Hongqiao Town, Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province. She currently resides in Hangzhou. She is a member of the Hangzhou Calligraphers Association and the Yueqing Union Writers Association. Her works have been exhibited multiple times at the Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum's calligraphy exhibitions. In the early 1990s, she became a disciple of the renowned calligrapher Su Shi and later studied under the famous calligrapher Shao Chaohui from Henan Province. She mainly focuses on calligraphy, immersing herself in the art, and seeks to improve her skills. She values knowledge to enrich her work. Since childhood, she has had a deep affection for calligraphy art. For decades, she has persisted in practicing calligraphy, drawing inspiration from various masters, innovating and changing, forming a bold and unrestrained style with powerful strokes that are full yet balanced, static yet dynamic, broken yet connected, transitioning from dark to light to dry ink, combining strength and gentleness, with firm and vigorous bone structure. This has led to her distinctive and grandiose cursive script style.
