He Weijian, male, born in September 1960 in Lin'an, Hangzhou, a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a bachelor’s degree. Passionate about public welfare and deeply devoted to the study and collection of Chinese calligraphy, painting, ancient ceramics, and jadeite jewelry, he particularly loves calligraphy. He studied calligraphy under Mr. Hao Liangbin, a renowned contemporary Chinese calligrapher and painter, who served as an official artist for the State Council and is often referred to as the "Imperial Court Painter." His calligraphy has achieved considerable artistic accomplishment, and his works are treasured by government institutions, entrepreneurs, collectors, and museums.
For many years, he has also been dedicated to the appreciation, collection, and research of ancient ceramics, especially focusing on the study and exploration of the Five Great Kilns, such as Ru and Jun kilns. His expertise in ancient ceramics has been greatly nurtured under the guidance of renowned Chinese ceramic experts, including Professor Zhao Qingyun.
In June 2002, he was appointed as a researcher at the Institute of Humanities, Chinese Academy of Management Science.
In August 2002, he was appointed as an advisor to the Zhejiang Yixian Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
In August 2008, he was appointed as Executive Director of the Painting and Calligraphy Committee of the Zhejiang Collectors Association.
In December 2010, he assumed the position of Chairman of the China Public Welfare General Association.
In June 2011, he became Vice President of the China Celebrities and Masters Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
In August 2016, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the China Branch of the World Chinese Association.
In August 2018, he was appointed Senior Advisor to the Lin'an Hard Pen Calligraphy Association.
On June 25, 2019, he was appointed Deputy Secretary-General and Secretary-General of the Hangzhou Branch by the Chinese Changjian Generals Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
On July 16, 2019, he was invited to serve as an Art Consultant for the CCTV program "China Recommends – Art Collections."
In July 2020, he was rated as a National First-Class Calligrapher.
In November 2020, he joined as a member of the Chinese Couplets Society under the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
In December 2020, he was awarded the professional title of National Senior Artist.
In January 2021, he became a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association.
In January 2021, he was rated as a National Senior Art Appraiser.
