Li Xiuxia, female, originally from Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, now resides in Tianjin. Influenced by her mother from a young age, she learned paper-cutting. Through years of continuous learning and effort, she eventually embarked on a creative career. Her works have won awards multiple times in national paper-cutting competitions. She is currently a member of the China Folk Artists Association, the China International Artists Association, the Professional Committee of Paper-Cutting Art of the China Culture Promotion Association, and a member of the Tianjin and Inner Mongolia Folk Artists Association.     For a long time, she has been committed to inheriting traditional paper-cutting techniques while actively absorbing and drawing inspiration from other art forms. She has boldly innovated in themes and expression methods, gradually forming her own unique artistic style. Her works not only feature rigorous composition but also carry strong characteristics of traditional Chinese culture. In the book "Chinese Literature" published in 2017, her artistic style and exploration path were specially introduced. During the National Day celebration of the 70th anniversary this year, her multiple works were selected for the National Paper-Cutting Excellence Exhibition organized by the China Folk Culture Association and the Department of History at Nanjing University, and they were toured nationwide. At the same time, her work "Four Auspicious Creatures" was collected by Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.     While persisting in artistic creation, she has also actively participated in cultural exchanges between China and the West, showcasing her works in many countries and introducing Chinese culture and traditional art to the world. Li Xiuxia has been invited multiple times to the United States for performances. With her delicate and skillful paper-cutting techniques and unique and innovative artistic style, she has gained attention from local media and a wide range of art enthusiasts, and thus was awarded the title of "World Outstanding Chinese Artist." Her works have been issued as stamps in China, the United States, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and she was rated as "Chinese Art Masters on World Stamps."     The sea of art is boundless, and the journey of learning has no end. To further improve her artistic cultivation, Li Xiuxia was admitted twice to the High-Level Research Class for Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. In 2019, she took the college entrance examination and was admitted to the Department of Art Design at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, starting a three-year study period. She deeply understands that only by constantly enriching herself can she climb new peaks in future artistic creations. Only by insisting on both inheritance and innovation can this ancient art of paper-cutting keep pace with the times.
