Xiong Gang, male, styled Niantang, born in 1961, member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, member of the China Calligraphers Association, member of the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, senior calligraphy trainer, member of the China Calligraphy Research Society, member of the Sichuan Provincial Calligraphers Association, member of the Ziyang City Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the Xie Wuliang Research Society, and direct disciple of renowned calligrapher Master Hong Houtian. Assistant teacher at Liu Jingfang Calligraphy Studio in Beijing. Graduated from Jiangsu Wuxi Calligraphy Art College in 1988, graduated from the Calligraphy Major of China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in 1993, and completed the Advanced Research Class at the China Calligraphy Academy, China Art Academy in 2011. His works have been exhibited in the Fifth and Sixth Sichuan Provincial Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibitions for New Artists and New Works; won the Excellent Award in the 2010 National First Exhibition of Calligraphy by Individual, Private (Non-State-Owned) Enterprises; selected for the exhibition "Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution: Ink Traces of Chinese Alliance Members and National Calligraphy Works of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang," jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Artists Association, and the China National Art Museum, held at the China National Art Museum; selected for the First, Second, and Third Japan-China Members of Parliament and Civil Servants Calligraphy Exhibition. In 2012, awarded the "Hundred Best Calligraphy Awards for Longevity Culture" at the National Calligraphy and Fine Arts Exhibition on Chinese Longevity Culture; selected for the "National Invitation Exhibition of One Hundred Calligraphy Masters" commemorating the 1023rd anniversary of Fan Zhongyan’s birth; won the Third Prize in the 2012 "Lanting Cup" National Disabled Calligraphy Competition; selected for the 30th Anniversary of Calligraphy Weekly’s "Bashan Night Rain Cup" National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Competition in 2014; selected for the Third "Situ Cup" National Calligraphy Exhibition and won the Excellent Award (highest prize) in 2014; selected for the Second China-South Korea Members of Parliament and Civil Servants Calligraphy Exhibition in 2016.
