Wu Jinkui, male, was born in July 1957 in Sichuan, Chengdu. His courtesy name is Jintao, and his studio name is Kuiyuan Pavilion.He has loved calligraphy since childhood.In the 1980s, he became a disciple of the renowned Sichuan calligrapher, painter, and seal carver Mr. You Picheng (courtesy name Tietang, art name Disciple of Yu Gong), dedicating himself to mastering the art of calligraphy.His calligraphy adheres to tradition, drawing upon the strengths of various schools, reaching back to Qin and Han, wandering through Jin and Tang, and focusing on Ming and Qing. He absorbs the best from all sources, bridging ancient and modern styles.To this day, he continues daily practice, deeply understanding the principle that true mastery is achieved in later years. His works are grand and powerful, with fluid and elegant brushwork, and are highly appreciated and collected by Buddhist temples, Daoist monasteries, and numerous friends both at home and abroad.
