Zhang Yang, male, pen name:Lin Yuan, courtesy name: Moyuan, born on April 25, 1974, in Pingchang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province, won a school calligraphy award during junior high school. Since childhood, he has been passionate about calligraphy. In pursuit of enhancing his calligraphic skills and artistic realm, he studied books by renowned calligraphers and works embodying calligraphic philosophy; building upon the outstanding and exceptional techniques of ancient masters, he continuously innovated and integrated personal elements through relentless effort, ultimately developing his own distinctive calligraphic style. His works are powerful and vigorous, sometimes gentle and rounded, at other times serene like a maiden, and occasionally dynamic and swirling like dragons dancing—highly personalized.
