Personal Profile

Yu Xiaoping, courtesy name Yuan Shi, art name Master of Mochi Studio. Born in 1975 in Fengdu County, Chongqing, he enlisted in the military in December 1993 and transferred to civilian life in 2014, holding a graduate degree. Vice President (Secretary-General) of the Jilin City Association of Arts and Crafts, Provincial Master of Arts and Crafts, Chinese National Gift Artist, member of the Calligraphy Art Research Committee of the China Society of Couplet Studies, and Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor. He has devoted over twenty years to the study and practice of porcelain carving and calligraphy. Representative works include portraits of Chairman Mao, Qi Baishi, and Qi Gong.
