Personal Profile

Yang Qingyin, male, Han nationality, studied at the Calligraphy Correspondence Class of the China Calligraphers Association, was born in October 1954 in Xuzhou District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, and retired from the Yibin Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association, an advisor to the Yibin City Calligraphers Association, a National First-Class Calligrapher, and a contemporary outstanding calligraphy artist. Since childhood, he has been deeply passionate about traditional Chinese culture, studying ancient famous calligraphers' stele and inscription works, absorbing diverse styles. His works not only inherit traditional culture but also feature original creativity and personal characteristics. His calligraphy is powerful and profound, dignified and substantial, embodying both form and spirit. His works have won numerous awards in national painting and calligraphy competitions and have received high praise from both inside and outside the calligraphy community, and are collected by enthusiasts both domestically and internationally. In November 2019, he won the Third Prize in the "Mingmo Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In December 2019, he won the Third Prize in the "Guoyi Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Final. In May 2020, he won the Excellent Award in the "Beautiful China Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In June 2020, he won the Excellent Award in the "Glory China Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In July 2020, he won the Excellent Award in the "Hanmo China Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In October 2020, he won the Gold Award in the "Mo Yun Zhonghua" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In November 2020, he won the Silver Award in the "Jinding Art Award" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. In December 2020, he won the Excellent Award in the "Modern Masters" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
