Hou Weihong, male, pen name Guan Hong, artistic name Shan De Hui, also known as Master of Hualong Studio, a third-generation inheritor of the Hou family's painting and calligraphy art. Born in 1969, ancestral home: Henan; studied under the renowned Chinese master of painting and calligraphy, the versatile genius Mr. Xiao Kuan.  Hou Weihong currently serves as Dean of the School of Painting and Calligraphy Education at the Shanxi National Learning Education Base. He is the gold medalist of the First National Belt and Road Chinese Cup Calligraphy Competition; Academician of the China Folk Culture Research Institute; Art Consultant of the China Ink Script Artists Association; Certified Artistic Integrity Ambassador of the China 3.15 Alliance; International Integrity Day 3.16 Certified Artistic Integrity Ambassador; 2018 Role Model Spring Festival Gala Role Model Artist and Art Ambassador; Shanxi Taiyuan Integrity Ambassador; Member of the People's Artistic Family; Member of the Shanxi Handicraft Art Association; Chief Calligraphy and Painting Teaching Advisor at Taiyuan Yao Village Middle School; Beijing Sunshine Innovation Consulting Center General Manager Assistant.Influenced since childhood by his grandfather’s traditional painting style and nurtured by his father’s personal guidance, Hou Weihong developed a deep passion for painting. To enhance his skills, he early attended and graduated from Henan Yubei Fine Arts School and Guizhou Bijie Charcoal Drawing Art School. Building upon mastery of traditional single-line heavy-color techniques, he integrated oil painting and gouache effects, achieving an artistic realm that transmits classical methods while innovating creatively in landscape and bird-and-flower paintings.He initially studied Yan Ti and Liu Shu calligraphy styles, excels in clerical script creation, and also loves running and cursive scripts. He has practiced calligraphy daily, listened attentively to his master’s teachings, absorbed strengths from various schools, never abandoned his brush, and pursued excellence in calligraphic art. He has received direct guidance and critiques from numerous masters including Zhao Meisheng, Long Qianshi, Barbossa, Lü Zhongyuan, Yin Bingsheng, and other eminent predecessors, continuously improving his skills and gradually developing his unique artistic style.Hou Weihong has participated multiple times in national, provincial, and municipal exhibitions, competitions, art festivals, talent shows, and public welfare activities; his artworks have won awards and been collected by celebrities and institutions both domestically and internationally; he has been interviewed and featured by media outlets such as Shanxi TV, Yellow River Television, and Development Guide Newspaper. In Lei Feng Volunteer Activities, he generously donated calligraphy works free of charge to social organizations, outstanding individuals, and villagers, receiving widespread praise and acclaim...
