Zhang Zhenyi
Personal Profile
Zhang Zhenyi, from Xia County, Shanxi, was born in 1962 and enlisted in the military in 1981. From 1984 to 1992, he worked in the propaganda and art department of the Trade Union of the 18th Bureau, Ministry of Railways. Since 1992, he has been working at the Trade Union of Shanxi North Fenglei Industrial Group Co., Ltd. He is a council member of the China Artists Association, a member of the Shanxi Artists Association, a member of the Shanxi Gongbi Flower-and-Bird Painting Association, and vice secretary-general of the Houma City Artists Association.
He has loved art since childhood and specializes in painting techniques of figures, landscapes, and flowers and birds. He furthered his studies at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang, where he studied under Professor Wang Xuyang (figure painting), Professor Sun Entong (landscape painting), and Professor Guo Xihé (flower-and-bird painting). His works have been exhibited and awarded in numerous art exhibitions.
