Personal Profile
Yan Wenkun, born in 1958, has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood, integrating the styles of Wang Xizhi, Huaisu, Huang Tingjian, and Zhang Xu, and excelling in wild cursive script.
In 1995, he won the Gold Prize at the Wutai Mountain Calligraphy Competition;
In 2010, he received the Second Prize at the Cross-Strait Calligraphy Competition;
In 2010, his work was collected by the Shanghai World Expo; Executive Director of the China Association for Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research, Member of the Art Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of the Shanxi Provincial Calligraphers Association, Chairman (Legal Representative) of the Shanxi Provincial Association of Elderly Calligraphers and Painters, Honorary President of the Shanxi Branch of the China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Vice President of the Shanxi Provincial Popular Calligraphy and Painting Association, Honorary President of the Fushan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and Honorary President of the Taiyuan Enterprise Union Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
