Zhang Yunling, pen name Lingyun, is from Zizhou County, Shaanxi Province, and works as a Chinese language teacher at a middle school. He has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood and, in his spare time, has diligently studied traditional Chinese calligraphy, practicing without interruption. He began with the regular script styles of Ouyang Xun and Zhao Mengfu, then progressed to studying the styles of the "Two Wangs" and Mi Fu, extensively practicing the works of Huaisu, Wang Xizhi, Zhiyong, Sun Guoting, Su Shi, and other master calligraphers. His works are characterized by rigorous and orderly composition, with elegant and refined forms. In recent years, he has studied under renowned calligraphers such as Zhang Shengwei. He is currently a council member of the Zizhou County Calligraphers Association in Shaanxi Province, a member of the Yulin City Calligraphers Association in Shaanxi Province, a member of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, a researcher at the China General and Minister Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and a member of the China Calligraphy Art Education Society. In 2015, he won the third prize in the National Online Calligraphy and Painting Competition; in 2016, he won the third prize in the "True Skill Cup" Regular Script Competition hosted by the China Calligraphy Art Education Society and the third prize in the Qigong Calligraphy Competition.
